This was a month when the frost really took hold by revisiting on several occasions. Nasturtiums on the tepee were badly affected. Overnight, water within them froze and expanded, causing cell membranes to collapse with the daytime thaw. All rigidity was lost and the straying stems flopped unevenly towards the ground.
